Chris Cooper is a Junior Music Education major from Buffalo Grove, IL. Chris plays the trombone, and when he is not busy running all things PMA, he also serves as the President of the IWU NAfME Collegiate Chapter. In his free time he enjoys long walks on the beach, disc golf, Taco Bell and volunteering.
Alex DeMont is a senior pre-med biology student who enjoys long walks on the beach (much like the chapter's current president). In addition to PMA, Alex is a tour guide around Illinois Wesleyan University’s campus. Alex plays bass trombone and dabbles in tuba when he's feeling up to it. In the chapter, Alex keeps track of the various committees and emphasizes a strong use of communication between them.
John McHugh is a senior BM Vocal Performance from Palatine, IL. He joined the Alpha Lambda chapter during the Fall semester of 2013, and began his role as secretary in 2015. Apart from recording the chapter’s attendance, his duties include: facilitating reminders of chapter events, recording the minutes for chapter meetings, coordinating the housing draw each year, among others. While he enjoys his secretarial duties and working with such intelligent men on the executive board, John also enjoys performing in the IWU Opera Workshops, singing with the Collegiate Choir, and taking care of his ever-growing collection of plants.
Beau Biedscheid is the Warden of the Alpha Lambda chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He is originally from Washington, Illinois and is now pursuing a degree in Music Education at Illinois Wesleyan University. He hopes to teach a band or choir when he graduates, and to continue to hone his disk-golfing skills. Beau sought out the position of Warden in order to make a positive impact on PMA, especially regarding new members. As new members are reviewed for acceptance and membership he hopes to act as a guide and someone they feel comfortable with. At the same time he hopes that if the PMA house or its members were to ever find themselves in an uncomfortable or harmful position, that he would be able to act as a leader and guide in this situation.
Jacob Taitel is a Junior Tuba Performance major from Deerfield, Illinois. After being initiated in the fall of 2014, he was elected to be the AsFEO in the spring semester. He then was elected to be the treasurer the following year. Still serving as treasurer, he constantly is working to ensure fiscal stability for the chapter, and is even beginning to save chapter funds for Alpha Lambda’s 100th anniversary.
Dean Scopelliti is a Sophomore Music Education major at Illinois Wesleyan University. He is from Deerfield, IL, and plays the cello, piano, and bass. He works hard to make sure all chapter events are documented with photos and stories, and keeps people educated about certain histories and traditions of our fraternity. Aside from his commitments in PMA, Dean also works as the treasurer of IWU's Collegiate chapter of NAfME, works with prospective students as a Music Ambassador, and teaches children different instruments through the Mini Masters program at the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington.
